Alan Partridge : Alpha Papa
Sneak Peek at "Alan Partridge : Alpha Papa
It's a different world we live in folks. TV shows ending, movie franchises beginning, TV shows streaming on phones - the lines have officially been blurred between the mediums. So it's with hesitation that we excitedly present to you a movie that, for a long time, has been little more than a fanboy pipe dream.
Yes, it's the movie based on Steve Coogan and Armando Iannucci's iconic idiot Alan Partridge!
For those not in the know, Patridge was David Brent before David Brent (Coogan has even gone so far as to ridicule Ricky Gervais for essentially stealing his schtick... and rightfully so). "I'm Alan Partridge" is must-see viewing for any comedy fans. But what will the movie be about, and is it too little too late?
The new movie plans to pick up from where we last left him (the mini series "Mid Morning Matters" in which he had been booted to digital radio), following Alan Partridge as a man whose had many ups and downs in his life. From a National television broadcaster (who lost his show after killing a guest on live TV) to Local radio broadcaster, to a nervous breakdown in Dundee and a self-published book called "Bouncing Back" (subsequently pulped).
He truly is a sad man. Which makes his further adventures even more enticing. "Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa" portrays the events of the greatest low-to-high-ebb spectrum in his life to date – specifically how he tries to salvage his public career while negotiating a potentially violent turn of events at North Norfolk Digital Radio.
TV to Movies never work, let's face facts... but if anyone can do it, it's Alan... Alan... Alan!
