Live At Sydney Opera House : Neil Finn & Paul Kelly, Empire of the Sun, Counting Crows

One has to wonder if the Sydney Opera house didn't look like it does, would anyone really care about playing there? I can tell you now, there would be FAR fewer musicians and artists dreaming of playing Melbourne Hamer Hall than Sydney's Opera House... and it's not because the acoustics are better.

Regardless, the Opera House is an Australian icon. It's housed some of the true greats of music, comedy and just about every other kind of art form you'd ever care to think about... or search up on Google.

So it's great to see that the building (let's call it Geoff) has adopted the future and pushing it's way into the masses minds with technology such as YouTube. Over the last few years this series has featured magnificent one-off performances from the Sydney Opera House's contemporary music program and its centrepiece festival Vivid LIVE.

We've decided to feature some of our favourites here including Neil Finn & Paul Kelly, Empire of the Sun and more - in their entirety - as a way to really hammer home just how magical and intimate music can be.

First up, Neil Finn & Paul Kelly's final sold out performance in the Concert Hall, which was originally streamed as part of the music series, Live at Sydney Opera House. It features a bevvy of smash hits and one hell of a touching finale.

Next up, let's have a change of pace. We've got the première of some new stuff from Empire Of The Sun (who we mentioned a few weeks ago have a new album coming out).

This was the world exclusive Album launch and offers up a visual and audible feast. They certainly might not be for everyone... but they are for someone!

It's a glorious change of pace from what you just watched with Paul & Neil above, and that's exactly what we all need sometimes! So turn up the sound, turn down the lights as Emperor Luke Steele of Empire of the Sun delivers a mind melting show.

Have we managed to waste your work day enough? No? You want more? No worries - there's plenty more where that came from. Let's just assume for arguments sake, you just watched Paul & Neil and Empire Of The Sun in full. Where could we possibly go from there?

How about the majesty of Wilco! A killer concert from an amazing indie band who have more credits to their name than YOU WILL EVER HAVE!

We then follow up Wilco's concert (these videos will all be below) with a superb set from the pixie twins Tegan & Sarah, and finish up this delicious musical soup with The Counting Crows.

Honestly, these are some money-can't-buy musical experiences... and we've put them all in one place... for you... so you can continue to live your life in the easiest possible manner. Lazy!
