Robbie Williams - Candy
Robbie Williams, everyone's favourite pop star from the early 2000s, is back in a big way with what is easily the catchiest blatant pop song of the upcoming summer.
I'll happily admit to being a RW devotee, this may have something to do with having two sisters, but this dude's ridiculously arrogant swagger and embarrassingly catchy "songs to sing in the car, then pretend you're not when you're at the lights" songs is impossible to ignore.
If you've had Candy stuck in your head all day and need your next fix, you can now watch the official video right here. You'll also be able to purchase it on 29th October from iTunes, but in the meantime sit back and enjoy it below...
Since peaking a few years back (which culminated in a HUGE live stage show) Williams has been somewhat quieter and out of favour with the public. One can only assume Pink and Katy Perry filled the mass-pop market with boobs and butts leaving Williams with little more than a recovering drug addiction to get him attention. So it was hardly surprising when he went back to the well with Take That.
It was a move that reaped benefits, with Take That's new album, Progress, shooting straight to the No.1 spot in the UK and had the highest first week sales in 13 years, the biggest opening week for an album in Britain since Oasis' Be Here Now, selling just under a staggering 520,000 copies making it the the fastest-selling album of the millennium.
With that under his belt, it was only a matter of time before Willams returned to the fray as a solo artist. A triumphant rebirth if ever there was a moment in time for one.
The new ditty is Candy and it's pretty damn catchy too.
While we're at it, let's revisit some of Robbie Williams finest moments!
