Best, Worst & Almost 007 Bond Songs
With the next episode of 007 James Bond, Skyfall, breaking all kinds of Box Office records, at the time of writing it had already grossed more worldwide than several Bond films combined, we thought what better time to take a look at some of the UK's greatest musical spy exports.
No, we're not talking about the sharply dressed secret agent bashing out a tune while he shoots a man with a spear - but more so, his cool and iconic theme tunes. To be asked to do a Bond theme is one of the greatest honours a musician can receive, some of the best of all time have delivered their variation on the genre.
Oasis song writer Noel Gallagher has long been vocal about wanting to supply a Bond tune for years, and for a brief moment in time thanks to his new found solo fame - he almost got the chance. The song "Freaky Teeth" was touted as the next Bond tune (or at least a reworked version of it).
However, as we now know, that honour went to Adele (who kicked it out of the park for the record). So it's back to the drawing board for poor ol' Noel in which he'll only get to play it live.
The upside is, it contains all the hallmarks of a classic Bond Theme tune, so even if it's never official... in our hearts... it will be a Bond song.
Noel Gallagher - Freaky Teeth
A fine addition to the legacy, but what else stacks up as a classic Bond theme. There are too many to mention, but just because we love to sing along, here are a couple of other of Web Wombat Music's Top Bond Songs!

Paul McCartney - Live and Let Die
