Tony Awards - 2013 Winners and Nominees
By Sean Lynch
It's Broadway's night of nights, the one time of year the best and the brightest of the theatre world gather together to honour... each other. However, unlike the Oscars or the Emmmy's, there's no denying the talent of Tony winners.
After all, "the stage" is where show business was born. That's where it thrives! There's no second takes, no auto tune. It's just a performer, an audience and the thrill of a potential standing ovation.
This year's Tony Awards was once again hosted by Neil Patrick Harris - best known for his role in Doogie Howser and How I Met Your Mother - and while his previous show openings have been impressive... I've yet to see anything in the history of Awards Ceremonies that even comes CLOSE to how magnificent the video below is.
It's Legend... wait for it... Dary!
Ok, but enough of this swanning over the host. Wait a second.. of course we'll swan... did you SEE that jump through the hoola hoop? I won't even mention the use of magic... ILLUSIONS!
Anyhew, here's the winners. No one cares about the losers - no one remembers them anyway.
