He is George Wade (Hugh Grant) and despite his billions of
dollars and winning ways with most people his charms fail
to instantly captivate our heroine.
Still, he does offer her a nice salary package and Lucy slips
into the big corporate world with both ease - and a conscience.
Little by little the pair fall for each other but neither
will 'fess up and so our gal hands in her notice (hence the
title).
Anyway, to cut a long story short this movie is a good sit-at-home-and-feel-good
effort with a couple of stars who really click on-screen.
Bullock is, once again, delightfully klutzy with a few more
sight gags included than in Miss
Congeniality 2. (Can't say anymore because Mrs A may
read this).
Grant is nicely insensitive as the lost rich man and I hope
he keeps on going down the road of playing the charming cad
because he does very well at it. Mind you, it would be even
nicer to see him as a really nasty villain at some stage!
Two Weeks Notice is light and fluffy - and a good
laugh.
Conclusion: 80% Extras: 65%.
