 The 4400 : Season 2

Review by Clint Morris

Entertaining, but a little too ‘over the top’ to get truly invested in, The 4400 is a sci-fi drama series that’s part X-Files and part Battlefield Earth.

4400: Series 2

It fixes on 4400 people who have been affected by a comet that abruptly changed course and hurtled towards earth, ultimately landing in a lake in the Pacific Northwest.

A group of people emerge from a white light, all ages, all sexes, all sexual preferences, who have been previously reported as missing. Seems they have all been ‘returned’ to Earth with super-human powers (superhuman strength, healing abilities, psychic nature and so on).

Basically, homeland security is assigned to follow each of those that were ‘returned’. Theres spooky music, shadowy figures and conspirocy theories, but theres something about it that we've all seen before.

Very sciency at times, but also just as entertaining.

EXTRAS

Commentary (Australia’s Jacqueline McKenzie is on the track) is on the disc, as are several featurettes. Not a bad offering.

Conclusion: Movie 75% Extras: 60%
