And how about this for a line-up? Hugh Grant is a lonely
young British PM, Colin Firth is a cuckolded writer, Alan
Rickman and Emma Thompson as a couple who have lost the magic
of romance and Liam Neeson is a just-widowered step-dad.
Best of all is Bill Nighy (of State of Play editor fame)
is a brain-frzzled ex-rock star who tries for a comeback with
the most soppy Christmas ballad ever.
Throw in at least half a dozen very well known faces with
a host of storylines and you have a beautifully written homage
to love.
Fantastic.
