But perhaps the most eagerly awaited series is Aliens I-IV
or, if you want to be accurate, Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and
Alien Resurrection.
All up there are more than 10.5 hours of body-rending, face-biting,
acid-spraying, sticky-gooey puddles of absolute terror in
the Alien Legacy set and all of it is gobsmackingly good.
Everyone has their favourite movie of the series - the original
is a classic of classics, the second a sci-fi firefight, the
third has a gothic appeal and the final a Euro-flavoured rebirth.
Now you can sit down at the home-movie fest and discuss with
your friends, if you have the breath or energy, which everyone
prefers.
Despite being made 21 years ago, the quality of the Alien
imagery is very good although a bit of grain does pop up.
As for the second oldest (made in 1986), well this chap is
usually too busy jumping (or watching through his fingers)
during Aliens to notice any changes in quality.
Aliens is the director's cut version and has had 17 minutes
of footage restored. Having loved the initial version and
then after seeing the new cut it is hard to understand why
such crucial parts were left out.

will detail each disc's extra features and outstanding points.
