The one-tracked minds of teenage lads are open for all to gaze upon in the hilarious comedy American Pie.

The misadventures of Jim (Jason Biggs), Kevin (Thomas Ian Nicholas), Oz (Chris Klein) and Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) as they strive to lose their virginity before the end of the school are both pants-wetting and cringe-making at the same time.

None more so than Jim's effort to get to know a home-baked apple pie better and his dad (Eugene Levy) walking in while he's making the attempt. Levy is just wonderful as the super-dry Dad who does his best to keep cool when all around are not.

Add to the humour mix the obscenely revolting Stiffler (Seann William Scott), a bevy of beauties including the talented Mena Suvari and Shannon Elizabeth and the terrifically off-beat band chick Michelle Flaherty (Alysson Hannigan). Once, at band camp, ....

Some of the scenes - such as the beer in the bedroom - are off to the max, but others - such as Jim's double episode of premature ejaculation - are just really funny.

This is not a movie that you need to think throughout. It is aimed very successfully at teens, but more mature types (male and female) will enjoy it.

Conclusion: Movie 85%, Extras 70%
