Jeep. Comments: This is a varied and excellent set of extras.
It begins with a 70-minute history of Easy Company and its
role in World War 2, and has an extraordinary series of interviews
with the survivors. This is brilliant documentary-making,
let alone an extra. The half-hour behind the scenes feature
gives you an amazing view of how the producers achieved the
look and feel of the show through clever use of new and old
technology and the miracle of digital effects. There are some
truly eye-opening moments that film buffs and students will
love. On a lighter side there are the video diaries of Ron
Livingston, who plays the intelligence officer Lewis Nixon,
and they are a fun look at crew, cast and filming.
