So he decides to do the right thing and not lie any more,
however, his history of telling porkies is so bad that when
as essay he writes is stolen by a Hollywood director they
all just roll their eyes.
However, our lad is incensed when he goes to the movies and
sees a promo for the summer's next big hit, Big Fat Liar,
which just so happens to be the idea stolen from him by
director Marty Wolf (Paul Giamatti).
So Jason and his friend Kaylee (Amanda Bynes) decide that
if Wolf won't come to the party and tell Jason's dad that
Big Fat Liar is in fact the missing school essay they'll
go to visit him.
What follows is a fun sort of adventure where the kids -
both in and out of the movie - will have a hoot as they pay
Wolf back for his appalling dishonesty.
Both Muniz and Bynes are very appealing on screen, although
the film really belongs to Giamatti who steals scenes right,
left and centre.
His Wolf is a lying turd, to put it mildly, but his coping
with various problems - such as being turned blue - are wonderful.
Adults will enjoy sitting through Big Fat Liar, but
kids will love it.
