In order to protect the saviours of the world, a protector
called Rufus (George Carlin) is sent back in time to make
sure the clods get their A+ in history.
As part of his futuristic tool kit, Rufus has a time-travelling
phone box so the boys can whiz around in time collecting some
of the biggest historical names and present them to their
class.
Bill and Ted quickly catch on to the benefits of time travel
and pick up such celebrities as Ghengis Khan, Napoleon Bonaparte,
Sigmund Freud, Joan of Arc and Abraham Lincoln.
Needless to say that not everything runs smoothly and as
the presentation time nears the movie's excitement builds
to see if they can manage to pull off the impossible.
Both Winter and Reeves are personable in their dead-head
roles and while there is nothing singularly outstanding about
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, as a whole it works well
and is very enjoyable fare.
Conclusion: Movie 80% Extras 0%
