However, he's pretty techno savvy and luckily he can operate
his computer with which he can run the investigation from
his bed.
Street cop Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie) discovers a body
while on the beat and using some nouse photographs the scene
to help investigations.
Rhyme picks up on her forensic potential and drafts her,
against her will, into the hunt for the killer.
The Bone Collector is a nicely handled thriller that is not
only tense and gory, but is also well weighted with rounded
characters.
Rhyme is a basket case who wants to be euthanased rather
than die horribly choking to death during a fit, Donaghy is
haunted by her father's suicide, and the support characters
add a richness to the movie.
As usual, Washington is terrific, it's hard to think of a
movie where he has not been in superb touch.
The stunningly beautiful Jolie doesn't quite ring true as
a street copper, but excels as the clever, forensic investigator
who gets to see some pretty horrid things while chasing the
villain.
All up, The Bone Collector is excellent and can be heartily
recommended to anyone who likes a thinking-person's thriller.
