Details at a glance...

Britain at War In Colour
(2000)
Warner Vision
148 minutes
PG

Narrator: John Thaw.

Format: Single-sided, dual-layer disc.

Language: English. Stereo.

Subtitles: None.

Extras: Additional footage not seen on TV, extra diary pieces and related footage, 10 WW2 posters and a wartime documentary on the Memphis Belle, the first US Air Force bomber to complete its tour of duty.

Comments: I have to 'fess up to the fact that the only really interesting extra is the 38-minute doco on the Memphis Belle, which was filmed by William Wyler. It is an extraordinary piece of film-making and really makes this DVD an even-better-value winner.
