Details at a glance...

Chocolat
(2000)
Roadshow Entertainment
117 minutes
M15+

Director: Lasse Hallstrom.

Cast: Juliette Binoche, Johnny Depp, Dame Judi Dench, Alfred Molina, Carrie Ann-Moss.

Format: Widescreen. Single-sided, dual-layer disc.

Language: English. Dolby Digital 5.1.

Subtitles: English - Hearing Impaired.

Extras: Theatrical trailer, director's audio commentary, making-of doco, costumes featurette, deleted scenes, cast-and-crew bios.

Comments: The audio commentary is worth listening to - particularly the details of the shoot - and is quite amusing. The making-of doco is a good look behind the scenes and runs for almost half an hour. The interviews are good, with just the right amount of footage added into the mix, and there is a terrific, but short, chat with the costume designer. You also get to see seven deleted scenes. All up a very good selection to pick from.
