He also gets to get up close with Natalie, the daughter of
a scientist whose invention could actually bring about the
end of the planet as we know it. There will be more teen hearts
throbbing when they discover she is none other than Hilary
Duff of Lizzie McGuire fame.
While good enough to become a spy Banks is a bit of a dud
when it comes to talking to girls (and which teenage boys
are not?) and this jeopardises his top secret mission.
Enter adult CIA agent Angie Harmon who, it has to be said,
will have dads remembering their teen days as she suits up
in outfits that are a mix between Dianna Rigg's Avengers garb
and Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman. Move over Liz Hurley!
Now Agent Cody Banks is much more 007 than say Spy Kids and
treats the subject in a serious-but-funny way. The action
is very well done - especially the skateboarding rescue scene
- and the movie moves along at a fast rate.
The cast is very likeable with the two teenage stars play
it straight-ish. Harmon, however, steals just about every
scene she's on camera. Ian McShane is good as the super nasty
and is backed up by Arnold Vosloo of Mummy fame.
