So
when sitting down to watch the impressive looking Crusty Demons
box-set, I wasn't quite sure what I was in for - because last time I
heard the phrase "Crusty Demon", it was in reference to a rather rank
pair of underderps and it's dried up contents.
If you're a fan of dirt bikes - the Hard Metal Collection Box Set
is nothing short of a wet dream wrapped in a limited edition tin. It's
simply that jam-packed, it's simply that good!
Comprising of ten of the best Crusty
Demons
releases (there's a whopping 6 discs in total) ranging from "God Bless
the Freaks" to "A Decade of Dirt", there are more crashes, stunts,
music (the likes of Metallica, White Zombie, Burnin' Groove,
Guttermouth, Skiptooth and Gadnium lend their tunes to proceedings) and
girls than you can throw a can of VB at (and there's a fair chance
that might actually occur).
It's very cool following the
Crusty Crew on their adventures through the jungles of Brazil, green
rolling hills of Americas West Coast and the swamp lands of Florida -
scouring locations as vast as France, Costa Rica, Colorado, Arizona,
Nevada and California. It's a lifestyle most would envy - and for the
likes of Carey Hart, Travis Pastrana, Seth Enslow, Brian Deegan, Larry
Linkogle, Anthony Pocorobba, Clifford Adoptante, Mike Cinqmars, Phil
Lawrence, Ronnie Faisst, Bubba, Cyril Porte, Joel Albrecht, Mike
Chamberlain, Mike Jones, Rusty, Edgar Torronterras, Dave Castillo and
Chad Pederson (just a few of the fellas that appear over the ten
volumes)...this is just another day in the office!
While
it's the sort of things that's really only going to appeal to a select
group of fanatics (sure - I'll admit that I have a new found respect
for the sport...but I'm hardly going to be rushing out to buy a Honda
CR250), those who are Crusty Groupies will have a field day with this.
EXTRAS
First up, the Collectors Edition tin is
sweet as! Embossed, tinny...full of Limited Edition goodness!
Secondly
- there's a butt load of extras. If you manage to get through the hours
of footage from the main features, good luck getting through the piles
and piles of behind the scenes footage and extras. It's to much to bear
(in a good way, especially if you're a fan). The most impressive of
which is the Crusty Day at Tommy Lee's which features on the "The Metal
Millennium" disc.
Such a cool lifestyle!
Conclusion:
Movie 75% Extras: 75%
