"Diamond Joe" Esposito was one of the king's closest
and most loyal friends. He met him in the army, and later
gave him a job as sort of a right-hand man. In this 2 hour+
DVD, Esposito reflects on his memories of the King. Not just
of the time he spent with Elvis, but what he knows about him,
and the person he was.
Now the one thing about Elvis specials that always gets me
is that every damn one of them says something different. Some
reflect Elvis as a good guy, some say he was an arrogant slob.
All argue on who found Elvis lying face down that tragic night,
and even like to candy sprinkle his moments.
Esposito seems to be on the money. He seems to be telling
it like it is. Whether he is or not, only he knows - but he
seems to have a good understanding of Elvis and his life,
and it makes for some great viewing.
