Graceland: African Concert

Review by Tawler vom Batte

If you liked Paul Simon's excellent Graceland music then you should have a look at Graceland: The African Concert.

It features all the tracks from the Graceland album, plus tracks that are not included on the disc.

The concert, which was played to a racially mixed audience of more than 45,000 in Harare, Zimbabwe, was shot during Paul Simon's Graceland tour of Africa.

One of the nice things about the film experience are the shots of African street scenes, which nicely complement Simon's music.

Featured with Simon in the concert are African singers Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and the group Lady Smith Black Mambazo.
