Those friendly little prehistoric creatures Littlefoot, Cera, Spike, Petrie and Ducky return to our screens in another entertaining children’s animated adventure in the long-running Land Before Time series.

This time around the five friends meet with Mo, a pre-historic dolphin, who appears after massive rains create “new water” in their backyard.

Mo wants to head back to his family and so the group decides to disobey their folks and escort him along the way.

Unfortunately there are some very nasty creatures waiting to eat them and it is only with luck they avoid some serious trouble with the gigantic cross between a Great White Shark and hormone-fed whale – a liopleuradon.

As usual there are some nice songs – including one sung by Donny Osmond.

The voices include Thomas Dekker as Littlefoot, Rob Paulsen as Mo and Spike.

Little kids love this series and it is not offensive viewing for adults.

Conclusion: Movie 65%
