Details at a glance...

The Love Letter
(1999)
Dreamworks
88 minutes
M 15+

Director: Peter Ho-Sun Chan.

Cast: Kate Capshaw, Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Selleck, Geraldine McEwan, Tom Everett Scott, Blythe Danner.

Format: Widescreen. Single-sided, dual-layer disc. Dolby Digital 5.1.

Language: English, German.

Subtitles: Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish.

Extras: Cut scenes, theatrical trailer, booklet with production notes.

Comments: The cutting room floor has a dozen or so deleted scenes, some of which - as usual - it is very hard to know why they were dropped. The one about why Helen always wants to drive is telling and gives a good background as to why she is as she is. As for the booklet I couldn't say, we didn't get one.
