The movie is a collection of lengthy skits that looks at
... life, and does so with a humerous savagery.
Who can forget the song Every Sperm is Sacred? Even
Grumpy couldn't ram it up the Catholic Church further than
the Python team.
And how about the organ transplant done on the kitchen table.
Or the surgeons kow-towing to hospital management about what
wonderful machines they can afford while patient care goes
out the window.
Best of all, however, is the bucket-filling vomiting antics
of the appallingly obese Mr Creosote who gets what he deserves
in the end.
Just about everything you can (and possibly should) hate
gets a right royal bollocking by the Pythons and yet it comes
across as an uneven hotch-potch of ideas.
Still, the transfer is very good and the extras
on this DVD are massive.
The Meaning of Life is one for Monty Python fans.
Conclusion: 70% Extras: 90%.
