Who Framed Roger Rabbit

One of the most beloved movie creations to come out of the 1980s was the technically and artistically unmatcheable Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Pre-reasonably-priced CGI, this project combined animation with live action and characters in a way that left audiences around the world gobsmacked.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit

The daffy title character had something to do with it, as did the techno wizardry - not to mention the stunning performance of Bob Hoskins as the down-on-his-luck detective Eddie Valiant in 1940s' Hollywood.

This is one of the all-time great efforts from a wonderful actor who starred in such top-shelf productions as Pennies from Heaven and The Long Good Friday.

Valiant is hired by toon superstar Roger Rabbit to check up on his Jane Russellesque wife, Jessica, who may be playing fast and loose with movie mogul Marvin Acme.

It wasn't looking good for the floppy-eared guy before, and now, when the big banana ends up dead, he is right in the poo.

And just what connection does the sinister Judge Doom (Christopher Lloyd) have to all the suspicious goings-on?

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a classic movie and the two-disc DVD is crammed with quality extras.

The transfer of both audio and video is just stunning and is a must for movie buffs and fans.

Conclusion: 85% Extras: 80%.
