Frank Sinatra: A Man and His Music II

Similar to the TV-show performances of the first disc, Frank Sinatra wows the audience with his mixture of singing, wisecracks and humour.

In this disc, however, you do get to see pop icon Nancy Sinatra perform some her big hits in a classic 1960s' look.

Yes, there are pink knee-length boots.

She sings Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down), a terrific On Broadway, including a bit of wiggly dancing), Yes Sir That's My Baby (duet with Frank) and her massive sellers These Boots Were Made For Walking and Downtown.

The daughter and father perform very well together - although he almost cracks her up with a groovy little boogie in Downtown - and the hit of 60s' pop gives the show a real boost, as well as siting it very much in that decade.

Aside from the Nancy Sinatra songs, for mine the pick of the songs is Fly Me to the Moon, followed closely by Luck Be a Lady and That's Life.

The series is available on DVD individually, or in two sets of five discs. If you're a Sinatra fan then this series is a must look-at.

Conclusion: Rating: 85%
