And in Return of the Jedi the power of the dark side of the
Force is stronger than ever and Luke moves inexorably closer
to following in his father's tragic footsteps.
It is a good, but not great movie (despite the superb space
battle scenes) but is a must see because of the fact you just
have to see how it all pans out.
The major problem with Return of the Jedi is the appearance
of those truly ridiculous feral teddy bears - the Ewoks. George
Lucas just couldn't help himself could he? Just like when
he came up with that floppy-eared plonker Jar Jar Binks...
The scenes with the Ewoks appealed hugely to small children
and added a sort of humour, but in the overall context of
the trilogy were a huge artistic mistake.
Still you do get to see Darth Vader without his helmet on.
The video transfer is reference quality and the surround
sound is awesome and there's another excellent audio commentary
with George Lucas, Carrie Fisher, Ben Burtt and Dennis Muren.
Conclusion: Movie 85% Extras 75%
