Having been one of the first to see the original Star Wars
in the movie theatres I have to say its sheer size and scale
(we are talking an almost pre-computer age 1977) was mind
blowing.
Star Wars is the movie that kicked off the motion picture
spectacular extravaganza that we are now so used to. In 1977
it was a risky venture but through the vision and perseverance
of George Lucas became one of the most beloved films of all
time.
Ever since the creation of DVDs I have been waiting for director
George Lucas to get his act together (forget about the current
crop of Star Wars films) and bring his first-up classics to
the format.
While the movies are released in a boxset we will review
them separately. Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away
Star Wars Episode IV:
A New Hope
Star Wars Episode V:
The Empire Strikes Back
Star Wars Episode VI:
Return of the Jedi
