If you are a movie buff and are in search of something a little different then Assassination Tango may be your cup of tea.

Penned and directed by actor Robert Duvall, it is a slice of life look at John J Anderson - a geriatric hitman who is looking at slowing down his career and spending more time with his girlfriend and her daughter.

His real passion, however, is for the tango and when he heads off to Argentina to kill a nasty general he takes time out to indulge not only in the dance, but also a beautiful dancer Manuela (Luciana Pedraza).

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle

Now reviews are mixed about Assassination Tango. It is slow moving, very slow in parts, but it is interesting.

You don't really like John J. - he's a bit nasty - but his yearning for his new family and his passion for the beauty of tango show a more redeeming side. It leaves you with hope for him.

Assassination Tango is a character study that the actor in Duvall carries fully on his shoulders and in this chap's opinion he manages the weight.
