Premiering in 1998, That '70s Show introduced
us to six youngsters living in 1970s America - Eric,
Kelso, Hyde, Fez, Donna and Jackie and their side-splitting
convos, exploits and adventures in those lively times.
Revisit the Drive-In, Presidential Elections of the time
(with bonus stripper), Prom Night, Pre-Marital Sex and being
totally dismayed at the mane that spurts from the neighbours
back.
That '70s Show didnt hit its stride until
a couple of seasons later, but this first season is still
a bucket and a half funnier than most of the other sitcoms
on the tube.
Not only is it infinitely well-written and witty
but its well performed. Since its inception, stars Topher
Grace and Ashton Kutcher, in particular, have become quite
the it boys, and deservedly so. Theyre such
a joy to watch in this. One for the fans.
DVD Extras
Extras on the set are at hand, but deficient. Theres
an EPK style plug for the series, a string of promos for the
first season (mixed together), and a 6 question trivia spot.
Yep, no commentaries, no deleted scenes, no bloopers, no gaffes
of a sauna-soaking Laura Prepon caught by Kutchers Punkd
crew off-set.
Conclusion: Movie 75% Extras 10%
