That's So Suite Life Of Hannah Montana

Review by Sean Lynch

After realising that animated cartoons were no longer the drug of choice for under developed kiddies, Disney stumbled upon a goldmine which Nickelodeon had been keeping a secret for years.

Cable TV for kids.

And now that Disney have worked out the formula, they are literally unable to be stopped when it comes to churning out light, bright, fluffy kid-centric comedy at a ferocious pace.

And when you've got a good thing going - why not exploit it even more by combining your biggest a brightest stars?

Hannah Montana : Thats So Raven

That's So Suite Life Of Hannah Montana is like the Voltron of child star vehicles. Mashing up a select few episodes from each of their flagship series (including Thats So Raven, Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Hannah Montana) it really serves as one giant cross-over commercial.

But the kids watching won't know that - they'll just lap it up. And isn't that what getting the kids out of your hair for a few hours is all about?

The exciting crossover event begins when Raven Baxter (I must admit, even I have found myself enjoying early Saturday morning TV screenings of Thats So Raven... she certainly is a character!!) checks into the swanky Tipton Hotel while on a business trip with her designer boss.

Zack and Cody get into the action when the models for Raven's photo shoot take a detour, and Raven has a spooky premonition about the twins' fate. Meanwhile, Maddie comes up with a plan to get London to wear one of Raven's new dresses.

Of course, it all backfires until London finds out that super pop star Hannah Montana wants a Raven original to wear on her new tour... and the hijinx ensures.

Look, it's not rocket science - but never claims to be. There are far worse things to get stuck in front of the TV watching (Case in Point: Hole In The Wall), so sit back and enjoy the quality time with the kids.

Who knows - you might even enjoy it!

DVD EXTRAS

Some excellent extras make this particular Disney-TV-To-DVD release one of the better on the market.

Included here is the "So You Think You Know Raven" Volume 2 DVD game (which, although I attempted it, couldn't win... kids today just seem to have more skill than an aging 23 year old!), a Hannah Montana music video, as well as a bonus episode of The Suite Life Of Zack & Cody.

Good fun and some really good value extras.

Conclusion: Movie 70% Extras: 80%
