Welcome to the Jungle

When a movie mixes humour and lots of action together it generally is a winner and Welcome to the Jungle has both aplenty.

It is the tale of a collection expert Beck (The Rock) who is very close to hanging up his muscles and putting on a chef's hat instead.

All he wants to do is open his own restauran but to do so needs to complete one more job for gangster boss Billy Walker (William Lucking).

Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle

As it happens, the job seems straight forward. All Beck needs to do is go down to the Amazon and pick up Walker's son Travis (Seann William Scott).

Unfortunately there is an evil dude Hatcher (Christopher Walken), who seems to own the region and its people and he doesn't like the fact Beck is going to take away the only person who knows how to find a bazillion dollar piece of treasure.

Neither does Travis like the idea of going back to dad, so he drives them off a road and they crash deep in the jungle.

From there it is all on for young and old as Beck fights not only Travis, but also a large band of guerillas and Hatcher's private army. We'll not mention some rather large monkeys as well!

Welcome to the Jungle is a ripper action movie in which the leads are terrific.

The Rock is very good, so is Scott, and Walken's bad guy is priceless.

Don't worry too much about it having a mind-boggling plot - 'coz it doesn't - just strap yourself in for a ride and let Welcome to the Jungle race you away on a very enjoyable non-stop adventure.

Conclusion: Movie 85% Extras 50%
