Wet Wet Wet: Playing Away at Home

Review by James Anthony

Scotland has come out with some damn fine bands and probably leading the pack is the terrific Wet Wet Wet.

One of their first hits, Temptation, caught these ears in an English pub and from that day 12 years ago to now, this bloke has been a fan.

Great tunes, great brass treatment in songs, and the fantastic vocals of Marti Pellow.

The show kicks off at Celtic Park with a few behind the scenes shots as the band walks to the stage and then it's straight into the catchy Sweet Little Mystery and Wishing I Was Lucky.

Razor-sharp images and excellent sound quality really help this package and when Temptation pops up at No.5 track we know all is well with the world.

Sweet Surrender follows and whether you be sitting watching this DVD, sorting out paperwork, peeling the potatoes or filling the dishwasher your toes will be tapping.

Anyone who like Love Is All Around, from Four Weddings and a Funeral, will know just how terrific these guys are.

A great concert performance and very good coverage for at-home fans.
