Review by Ben Vernel

This is one of those frequent assignments that come with being an entertainment journalist.

You're faced with reviewing something you have absolutely no interest in, and you are forced to somehow do the product justice.

Well here I am, face-to-face with a form of entertainment that both bewilders and amuses me.

And yet I'm completely aware that millions of people love it; hell, Rove McManus loves it. And Australia loves him.

WWE

Does that mean, by the transitive property of love, that Australia loves wrestling?

I hope not.

Anyway, I've done some research on the topic and on this DVD release, and I've come up with some information that may, hopefully, help to inform and to advise. Apparently, Cyber Sunday is a pay-per-view event which allows viewers to vote and choose which wrestlers will fight in which matches and against whom.

It's an ingenious idea, and one that proves the worth of modern technology.

The DVD features seven matches, plus a Costume Contest that was also decided by the viewers.

Fashion parade! I'm yet to see Aronofsky's The Wrestler but I doubt that it features a Tyra Banks style runway walk-off. However, I could be wrong.

The matches include many WWE Championship Matches, and ECW Championship Match, and a Tag Team Match. Fan reviews of this DVD have stated that the matches are entertaining and well worth watching, and that the DVD itself was an excellent purchase.

If you're into wrestling, this DVD might be one to pick up.

DVD EXTRAS

The special features are in small number, unfortunately.

There is one extra match, essentially bumping up the main portion of the DVD to an eight match total.

There's also something hilariously described as 'Honky Yonk Man, Roddy Piper and Goldust Argue Over Who Was The Greatest Intercontinental Champion'.

This may or may not be awesome, depending on your perspective.

Conclusion: Movie 80% Extras: 40%
