If you've never heard of Yu-Gi-Oh! then you are clearly not at school, or have school-age children.

For it is a trading card game/TV series that has struck a chord with youngsters and they are collecting the monster cards like demons.

24 Hour Party People

Yu-Gi-Oh! is anime and follows the adventures of the Japanese mega-duellist Yugi and his mates as he takes on progressivley more difficult opponents in card battles.

This DVD has three episodes - The Heart of the Cards, The Gauntlet is Thrown and The Duellist Kingdom - and runs for 60 minutes.

The Heart of the Cards has Yugi's grandad and game master kidnapped by a ruthless tycoon who wants to get his hands on the famous Blue Eyes White Dragon card.

The Gauntlet is Thrown has our hero thrown into a game where the monsters and magic are real and in The Duellist Kingdom Yugi takes on the exceptional, but cheating, Weevil.

The shows are fun and are very much like an animated how-to-improve you play lesson.

Kids will like them and they won't be too much of a strain on ageing eyeballs.

Conclusion: Movie 70% Extras 60%
