Another Parliamentarian fires up

Well, I’ve always said politicians are wankers - not to mention two-faced, lying scumbags - but one of the perks porkers has proven that they are extreme morons as well.

How about this. The National Party MP (Moron Parliamentarian) Andrew Fraser has been in the news recently by getting stuck into firefighters and the National Parks and Wildlife Service for not doing enough hazard reduction in New South Wales to avoid the current bushfire crisis.

But, the Moron Parliamentarian found himself with an extremely red face after he accidentally (we hope) burned down two hectares of state forest.

How? You ask.

Well, it seems our none-too-clever chap was doing a bit of hazard reduction on his Coff’s Harbour property and nipped off to have a cuppa. While he was downing the fluids it came to his attention that his hazard reduction was roaring into the Lower Bucca State Forest at a gazillion kilometres an hour.

Fortunately for the MP - and for the local wildlife - there were two brigades of his favourite firefighters conducting hazard reduction nearby and they raced to the scene to aid their political nemesis.

According to fire chiefs they had to “throw everything at it” to stop it getting out of control.

The MP later fessed up to the fact he should not have begun the burn-off during the morning and admitted (mark this down as a first for a pollie) he had been careless.

The Fire-ies big boss, Phil Koperberg, was extremely tactful when he said: "Given the difficulties volunteers have to face on a daily basis, I am disappointed that someone who purports to be aware of the hazards, would allow a situation to develop where property was endangered and volunteers were called to suppress a fire."

Personally, I think he should have given the MP a massive serve and had him charged with arson - arson about with fires that is!

Anyway, Andrew, you MP, best keep your trap shut and your brain engaged for a while before saying anything in public again.

What a twit...
