Archbishop ... Go Read a Good Book

Damn, some people have a lot of cheek in our community - and the latest cheeky boy is the Catholic boss of Sydney, Archbishop Pell.

Now the No.1 supporter of Il Papa has come out saying our divorce laws are suss and they should be tightened up.

And he reckons that people with kids who divorce should be made to pay more tax to cover the costs to society.

Well, bucko, as someone who has got divorced 15 times I can tell you the financial burdens upon ex-couples are extreme and the last thing they need is to fork out more money.

Sorry kids, can’t buy food today because some glorified hymn-warbler thinks he knows the state of marriage and breakup better than anyone else.

A question, Archbishop, just how do you know so much about marriage? Been hitched have you? Got a wife and kids have you? Gone through the trauma of divorce have you?

If the answers are no, then why not take a vow of silence and go read a good book.

When I want to listen to a discussion about divorce I don't want to hear the opinions of a chap who is single, has never had a spouse or has no kids.
