Ban handguns to ban crime - what a joke!
Oh puke! No, sod that, big puke. In fact, the biggest PUKE
I've ever had!
How can politicians come out with such utter garbage and
do it with such straight faces?
Of course I'm referring to this latest move to ban handguns
in Australia in a bid, we are told by the pollies, to make
us a safer society.
Fewer handguns means less violent crime, according to those
who are turning Australia into a sookie society, and the real
shame of it is the sheep of the electorate - and the media
- take the line bait and all.
Has anyone bothered to think about the absurdity of the whole
handgun debate?
I mean - do gun users who own their weapons legally and have
them registered and locked away, commit anything but a tiny
percentage of the violent crime in this nation?
Do these law-abiding citizens - who can be easily traced
for their potentially dastardly crimes - wander around robbing
people/petrol stations or breaking into other people's homes?
One would suggest not.
In fact, gunowners would be among the most law-obeying people
in Australia. They have to be, otherwise the woolly-heads
will have them in court faster than you can blink, while they'll
turn a blind eye to any murderers, rapists or thugs who just
happen to come from broken homes.
If politicians and bleeding hearts want to overreact to the
occasional incident that's fine, but really they should be
focusing on the scum who are the really violent members of
society - the criminal classes.
It is illegal gun holders who are the problem, not the members
of gun clubs, sports shooters and the like. It is the gangs,
the drug dealers, the stand-over men and other low-lives of
society who commit almost all of the shootings.
Deal with them first.
By the way, I do not own a gun - I'm too scared I may just
use it.
