I Confess: I Want to Damage Molesters

This absolutely makes my blood boil. Talk about having no morals!

A French bishop has been found guilty of hiding the fact that one of his fellow confessional-givers was a disgusting pervert who was sexually abusing children.

The Catholic bishop of Bayeux and Lisieux in Normandy has become the first bishop to be convicted in France since the French Revolution way back in the 1790s.

The court found he had hidden from authorities the fact that his repulsive mate had raped a minor and indecently assaulted 10 other boys in the late 1980s and 1990s.

An 18-year jail sentence followed for the scumbag molester. However, for trying to protect the church's reputation (which it must be said goes through a fair bit of this horrid stuff) our mate the bishop got a three-month suspended sentence and the fine of ... wait for it ... one franc.

In other words, bugga all of bugga all.

Now as a parent, grandparent and great grandparent (and being a fairly enlightened old chap) I reckon the bishop deserves a bit more attention.

A cricket bat around the head a few times would be a good start, followed by a public whipping (hang on, he may enjoy that) and then being locked in a room with the victims' relatives for an hour. Or, if we want to hark back to the days of revolution, how about taking him in a tumbril to Madame La Guillotine and chop his revolting head off.

People who cover up appalling crimes of abuse against children should have no rights to decent treatment.

They are as revolting as the scum who commit the crimes. Bastards.
