It's not often a sci-fi flick comes along that actually seems inventive, thought provoking and exciting. It is even rarer, in this modern age of blockbusters at least, that one comes along without a massive studio backing.

Such is the case with the incredibily itriguing Branded.

Branded is a dark and mind-bending sci-fi thriller that takes you into a surreal, dystopian society where mega corporations have unleashed a monstrous global conspiracy to get inside our minds and keep the population disillusioned, dependent and passive.

One man's quest to unlock the truth behind the conspiracy will lead to an epic battle with the hidden forces that really control our world.

While the CGI looks like it may vary from "amazing" to "midday TV movie" quality, one can't deny the ambitious scope of the tale Branded promises to tell. Ironically, it was the poster that drew me into this flick... it's all about Branding after all!
