OUR EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW WITH: JUDD APATOW
While Judd Apatow's name has been branded on nearly every single comedy
movie since 40 Year Old Virgin
made a mint (even the ones he had nothing to do with - I'm pretty sure
posters claimed "As watched on DVD by Judd Apatow" nowadays) - the guy
has only ever written and directed two major films.
The first was Virgin,
the second Knocked Up
- and now we have his third in Funny
People.
Apatow
directs Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann in a film which
follows seasoned comedian George Simmons (Sandler) who learns of his
terminal, inoperable health condition - which lead to his desire to
form a genuine friendship and cause him to take a relatively green
performer (Rogen) under his wing as his opening act.
But the
cast doesn't end there - in fact Jason Schwartzman, Aubrey Plaza and
Jonah Hill are also on board - and that's before we even get to
mentioning Aussie Eric Bana who not only brings his ocker accent to the
big screen... but also the St. Kilda footy club.
Call me crazy - but I'm thinking this one might just be a winner.
