Jurassic Park 3D

Sneak Peek at "Jurassic Park 3D"

We've been complaining a lot about reboots and remakes lately, however, we're still not to sure where we stand of re-conversions. It's becoming a big trend in Hollywood to make some big wads of cash by re-releasing classic films in either 3D, IMAX or simply "Digitally Remastered".

Personally, I'm all for it, I'd much prefer to enjoy a classic that I love on the big screen (the way it was intended to be seen, and for many, a way that's never been experienced before). It doesn't dilute the experience by trying to recapture the magic, it simply delivers the goods.

It's amazing to think how much of a cash cow this is as well. Since the introduction of the large scale release we've seen movies like Titanic 3D and Disney's back catalogue take in over $100M extra, not to mention the bonus dollars generated by the DVD sales after the re-released theatrical run is over.

The latest to make a comeback, which I honestly think will break records, is Jurassic Park. It's a film that still stand up today (even the CGI looks far more impressive than the sequels that followed it - don't ask me how or why this is the case) and is bound to cross all demographics : nostalgic revisitors, young newbies, old nerds, new nerds, dinosaur freaks and a bloke named Jeff.

For those who have never seen the flick before, the selling points are simple and awesome : God creates dinosaurs. God destroys dinosaurs. God creates man. Man destroys God. Man creates dinosaurs. Dinosaurs eat man.

So get excited movie nerds - Universal Pictures will release Spielberg's groundbreaking Jurassic Park in 3D in 2013. Remastered into the state of the art 3D format, Spielberg is finally introducing the three-time Academy Award winning blockbuster to a new generation of moviegoers which will allow longtime fans to experience the world he envisioned in a way that was unimaginable during the film’s original release.

If you miss it this time, I'm sure you'll get another chance some day - after all... life finds a way.
