I have no issues with admitting that my utter hatred for all things Nicholas Cage. The guy is a woeful actor... really, just woeful.

Yet, for some reason, people seem to flock to see him in the National Treasure series - and studios continue to pay him to appear in junk like Next (a movie so bad , it's actually quite funny).

His latest looks stupid too - but could be saved by the appearance of Aussie Rose Byrne - and the fact it was shot on location in Melbourne. I was doing some Comedy Festival shows just up the road during one of their night shoots and wandered down to the set.

There was a man walking a giant white dog... no more need be said.

For those still interested the film follows Cage as a teacher who opens a time capsule that has been dug up at his son's elementary school; in it are some chilling predictions (some that have already occurred and others that are about to) that lead him to believe his family plays a role in the events that are about to unfold.

I can smell the stench of this movie from here...
