If there is one thing Owen Wilson didn't need after being so
depressed he tried to top himself... it's a tear jerker. Yet, that's
exactly what seems to be the call of the day with his latest Marley & Me.
Marley & Me
is an upcoming movie based on the memoirs of John Grogan and his
family's life with their dog Marley, a Labrador retriever. It is to be
directed by David Frankel and stars Wilson and Jennifer Aniston, and
intended to be released in theaters in 2008.
Marley is the
yellow lab adopted by John Grogan (Owen Wilson), a columnist for the
Philadelphia Inquirer, and his wife (Jennifer Aniston). Their idea was
to give them a taste of parenthood, but the dog proves to be a
hyperactive handful.
He wreaks havoc, gets kicked out of
obedience school and gets even worse when the children begin to arrive,
yet becomes an indispensable part of the family. Could be a surprise winner for all of you who are looking for a potential "I wanna get laid after this date" movie.
