For some strange reason, the first Night At The Museum was met with hatred from the critics - despite the fact in made a bucketload of cash.
To be fair, there were plenty of worse ways to spend your cash - but this flick worked for me, much like a new-age Jumanji. So this new epiusode looks like more fun - not ground breaking, but fun.
Night At The Museum 2 takes
off when the Museum of Natural History is closed for upgrades and
renovations, therfore the museum pieces are moved into federal storage
at the famous Washington Museum.
The centrepiece of the film
brings to life the Smithsonian Institution, which houses the world's
largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its
collections, ranging from the plane Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) flew on
her non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone's rap sheet
and mug shot to Dorothy’s ruby red slippers and Archie Bunker’s lounge
chair.
Expect a slew of celeb cameos.

Australia on the 21st of May 2009
