If there was one thing Ryan Reynolds needs now more than anytime... it's a hit. He has tried in the past to be the romantic lead (Definately Maybe) and while the movie didn't suck... the box office returns certainly did.

So will the boost of profile from Wolverine help this rom-com hit it big? Well, quite possibly. It's a pretty solid offering after all - Sandra Bullock has yet to put a foot wrong in the genre, and by all reports, the flick is actually a cut above the average Rom-Coms we are usually subjected to.

The Proposal follows high-powered book editor Margaret (Sandra Bullock) who faces deportation to her native Canada, who thinks quick by declaring that she is actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds), who she’s tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. 

The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family (including the super hot Mary Steenburgen or Betty White) and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences.

Could be good, we'll have to wait and see!
