Let's face it, we haven't had a decent alien sci-fi action adventure since ID4 - and that hit our screens over 10 years ago now. So, thankfully, the Strause brothers have decided to make the movie we've all wanted to see for so very, very long.

In the sci-fi thriller, Skyline, strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles, drawing people outside like moths to a flame where an extraterrestrial force threatens to swallow the entire human population off the face of the Earth.

Skyline is directed by the aforementioned Strause brothers, whose visual effects company Hydraulx has provided the amazing special effects for the likes of Avatar, Iron Man 2 and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

The cast includes Eric Balfour, Donald Faison (of Scrubs and Clueless fame), Scottie Thompson, and Brittany Daniel and is set to be released on November 12, 2010.
