It's always a worry when a film has beeen sitting on the shelf for almost three tyear - even more worrying if it's a CGI film. Because nothing dates quicker than a CGI movie. Two years is a crazy amount of time, updates to computers make sure of that.

Battle For Terra, or Terra for those who just don't have the time for three words titles,  is a fantastic journey to worlds we have only dreamed of. It is a story of friendship, family, sacrifice and most importantly, the realisation that all of our survival relies on our earth's precious natural resources.

It also looks as cheap as chips - yet another in a long line of CGI films which just can't compete against the big studios.

The cast is impressive, if not slightly indie, including the likes of Justin Long (this guy is a marketable name these days - goodbye Warren Cheswick), Luke Wilson and David Cross.
