Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

While the world concentrates on the likes of Bond and Harry Potter, there are several franchises that go under the radar, but churn out a movie every couple of years... and they don't seem to be stopping that trend anytime soon.

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans is the third installment in the Underworld series. It is a prequel set prior to the events of Underworld and Underworld: Evolution, which will trace the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires and their onetime slaves, the Lycans.

In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (played by Michael Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Billy Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them.

Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Viktor's daughter Sonja (Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

Is it just me, or "the guy that played Tony Blair" just doesn't quite suit the bare chested action movie mould?
