Box Office Wrap-Up

Super
Bowl weekend in the USA, which means plenty of folks out at the cinemas
to escape the spectacle of sport watched by over 111 million people.
The battle for the #1 spot at the USA box office was won by low budget
super hero flick Chronicle which took a small victory over The Woman in
Black (starring the former Harry Potter).
For the third time in
four months, a low budget found footage film topped the charts and
easily beat out the likes of action epic The Grey, which suffered a
sharp 53% fall in its second weekend. |
