Gig Watch : Reel Big Fish
The
Espy was packed to the brim with Reel Big Fish loyalists : Tatts,
bowler hats, sneakers, rockabilly haircuts, Hawaiian shirts, bikies and
the occasional pink mohawk.

Gig Watch : British Sea Power
Yan and Hamilton are interchangeable
as bass player and lead singer, which gave the set an interesting spin
as the two took turns leading the band and rocking the audience into
musical oblivion.

Album Review : White Rabbits - It's Frightening
Each
layer of instruments, from the angular guitars to the lurching piano,
have their own inherent inertia that keeps plodding and stamping along
in straight lines all parallel to each other.

Gig Watch : Florence & The Machine - Live In Melbourne
It
is hard not to fall immediately in love with UK siren Florence Welch.

Album Review : Massive Attack - Heligoland
Garvey struggles with erratic synth-drum combination provided for him,
unable to cope with the unenthusiastic offering from his collaborators.

Album Review: Angus & Julia Stone - Down The Way
A departure from the naïve, innocent music which
we have seen from Angus & Julia Stone in the past, however, this album will no doubt open a few doors
internationally.

Album Review : Groove Armada - Black Light
The higher vocals really make it stand out from
the previous albums. The chorus' are bouncy and uplifting without
sounding like a club number.

Album Review: Blakroc - Blakroc
Blakroc isn't ground-breaking, but it is
authentic, creative, entertaining and very, very cool. On 'Dollaz &
Sense', RZA and Pharoahe Monch claim that, “If it don't make dollars
then it don't make sense”, but Blakroc isn't about the money. It's
about the music.

Album Review : Eels - End Times
Whilst "End Times" may not be the most optimistic and cheery record, it is
heartfelt and deep. It is an honest insight into the emotions
surrounding despair and loss, and completely unique for it's
earnestness.
